Bounce into Joy: Kuriftu Trampoline Park in Entoto

There are places your kids will like, and then there are places they’ll never stop talking about. Kuriftu Trampoline Park in Entoto Park? Definitely the latter.

Every time we land in Ethiopia, my eight-year-old son has one question on repeat:
“When are we going to the trampoline park?”
Not the zoo, not the pool, not even the ice cream shop — nope, it’s straight to bouncing heaven.

Tucked away in the scenic hills of Entoto, this park isn’t just a playground — it’s a full-on gravity-defying experience. Think springy trampolines, slam-dunk basketball courts (on trampolines!), and the ultimate favorite in our family: the battle beam — a foam-pit balance beam where kids can safely duel, wobble, and giggle their way to the “winner’s” side. It’s like a kid-friendly Ninja Warrior course, minus the pressure and plus a whole lot of foam.

What I love most is that the focus here is clear: jump, play, repeat. There’s no blaring arcade, no flashing screens — just good old-fashioned movement and joy. Kids leave red-faced, sweaty, and glowing. Parents get to sit back (with coffee, if you’re lucky) and just watch them shine.

To get there, head through the Dilber Gate, then enjoy a breezy 10-minute stroll through Entoto’s beautiful landscape until you reach the playground area. Tickets are around 400 birr for an hour, which feels more than fair for the amount of energy your child will burn — and the nap that may follow.

There’s even a small restaurant nearby for quick snacks or a post-jump bite. The staff? Super friendly and attentive, especially if your little one is new to trampolining. While parents don’t need to jump (unless you’re feeling brave), you do need to stay close — kids aged five and up will likely be fine on their own, but it’s always good to keep an eye out.

Oh, and right next door? A go-kart track for even more adrenaline-packed adventure. We haven’t dared yet, but I can already hear my son plotting that for next year’s visit.

In short?
Kuriftu Trampoline Park is joy in motion.
If you’re exploring Entoto Park with kids, don’t miss it. It’s become one of our yearly traditions — and one of the best ways to burn off jet lag, energy, and maybe even a little parental stress.
